I’m a self-taught artist based in Seaton Sluice, Northumberland, with a love of painting and drawing the world around me.
My work is inspired by the places I know and love, from familiar landmarks and well-known views to the quieter corners and hidden gems that might only catch the eye of someone who really knows the local area. Living in Seaton Sluice and working in Whitley Bay gives me plenty of inspiration, and I’m always noticing a view, building or little detail that makes me want to capture it on paper or canvas.
I enjoy bringing a sense of place to my work — celebrating the sights that people recognise, while also shining a light on those everyday local scenes that can easily be overlooked. For me, painting these places is a way of capturing a moment and sharing a little of what makes the North East coastline feel like home.
